2048

The objective of this puzzle game is to combine the numbered blocks on the screen until you reach 2048. Despite this simple goal, whenever you make a move that combines two blocks of the same value, another block with the next even number will appear on the screen. And so on. If you simply combine blocks randomly, you will end up with the screen full of blocks and a defeat message.

Tips for playing 2048

• When starting the game, move the blocks only in the horizontal or vertical direction. Move in another direction only when there are no more possible moves;
• Try to use the corners. This way, you will have more surface area on the screen to make your moves;
• Keep high-value blocks close to each other. This way they will be easier to combine;
• Resist the temptation to combine very large blocks at the beginning of the game. It may become impossible to add blocks that match those large blocks.
• Think before you move. This is a puzzle game, not a speed game. Moving a block of 2 or 4 to the right place can result in several more advantageous moves than a large block.
