Spades
Bet How Many rounds You’ll Win

About the Game
About the Game
Spades is a team-based card game where the goal is to guess how many rounds (or “tricks”) your team will win — and then try to actually make it happen. Before each round starts, every player says how many tricks they think they’ll win.
Your team needs to try and hit that exact number.

How to Play Spades
Each player gets 13 cards. The spade suit (♠️) is the trump — meaning it beats any other suit. The player to the left of the dealer starts the game.
You have to play the same suit as the first card in the round if you can. If you don’t have it, you can play any card — even a spade to try to win the trick.
You can’t lead with a spade right away; spades can only be played once someone breaks them (by using a spade when they have no cards of the suit that was played).
If your team hits the number of tricks you bet, you earn points. If you miss it, you lose points. Extra tricks (called “bags”) give bonus points, but collecting too many can lead to penalties.
Quick example: You and your partner bet you’ll win 5 tricks. If you do, you score points. If you get fewer, you lose points. Simple as that!
